imo that's the biggest waste of money to put a 4g in a civic, when the mirage is amuch easy swap. i mean why not do an awd mirage???

ok. its a tube chassic car. aka dragster. that will most likely weight 1500-2000lbs

Because he wants something unique that he built himself?

that's understandable, but a awd mirage is pretty unique, not like you see a billion of them out there like civics. i just don't see the reason the put a 4g in a civic. i have or had both cars if you want a torqey engine for a civic why not a turbo k20/k24 hybrid or h22?? like i said it's just my opinion and does not take away from him doing something different.:thumb:

Deff wanna see this when its done. Theres a guy that lives near me that a dragster civic with a twin turbo big block v8 in it, and FP is a good place to go.

:aha:Name one rwd honda transmission that will work with those honda engines. The only tranny that will work is the F20c tranny that only bolts up to the F20c(or F22C). Even then a 4g63(and there is rwd trannies that bolt up to 4g63's) is superior to all other 4-cylinders when it comes to making power, so why not be different and slap the best 4-cylinder out there in a honda.

If you want a manifold for a car like that, your best bet is to look at(or even contact them) the punishment, jmfab and especially shearer manifolds.

i am in the process of putting in a 14 or more cage also a funny car cage with that . then the motor will get mocked up for mounts thanks for the links on the turbo manifold .i have some other issues with running the cooling lines from the back of the head in this application if you have any input please let me know thanks again spiracn

I would definitely contact Ron at Shearer Fabrications www.shearerfabrications.com for this kind of job. Things that would help -- knowing the turbo flange placement, along with orientation. Since it is a custom fab for your application, knowing the measurements of where you want your parts to go will definitely help in making a jig to fabricate up a tubular one-off manifold.

As for the cooling stuff, take a look here: http://www.jayracing.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=13 for ideas, or parts.

As for all the haters, I guess they don't know that there already have been others that have done honda chassis 4G63 RWD setups. One example: http://www.dsmtimes.org/details.php?ID=1921. If you are complaining about hondas, remember that it went 7.66 @ 175mph, and you will shut it.

Good luck with the buildup! Should be a fun car!

Shearer or Jm fab for the mani and you can get tons of info on the rwd setup since there are quite a few out there now.
