turbo civic vs GS-T

i went to the track last thursday for test and tune night, and there were quite a few imports out there. A few minutes after i rolled in there was this civic that pulled in with this bronzish paint job, bodykit, and a huge FMIC, oh yea it was also a right hand drive civic. it looked sweet (for a civic)...anyways i was running slow times all night i bogged the launch twice, and ran two 15.4's, then i cut a 15.0 also on a terrible launch. then i was about to go home because my friend had to study for a test, but i decided to run 1 more time. So i pulled up to the waiting line and the civic is in front of me in the right lane (im in the left). and there is an IROC beside him, and the IROC pulls up next to another big V8 car leaving me next to the civic. then its our turn to go, i was nervous but i took a deep breath to collect myself. then the track officals give us the 'ok' to stage, so i bark my tires a little to get the dirt off. and he does the same. Then we pull up to stage, i stage first and then he stages. i rev up to 3K as the tree lights up, then...GREEN! he jumps out before me with a .718 reaction to my .934, then i start pulling and im a little infront of him, then shift to second the tires break free for a second then they catch grip and i look in my rear view...no sign of him, the RPM's climb to 6500 then i shift to third and look in my right rear view mirror and there he is i keep going hard to the end of the track, and i look in my rear view mirror and i dont see him so i start slowing down and keep an eye in my rear view but i dont see him at all until i get to the pull off point and then he appears, i pull up to the ticket booth and get my slip i ran a 14.8 to his 15.3, i have to say it was a good race. and its always nice beating a nice car.

Around here swapped Hatch's with B16's and B18's usually run mid to high 14's so if this car was turbo and ran a 15 I'm thinkin it might have been SOHC. Good race.

from what i understand he was running mid 14's on a few of his runs (maybe faster) but i never saw it, but i know i can get my car in to a mid 14, maybe a low 14. on that run my intercooler was heatsoaked i didnt give it much time to cool down because my friend was in such a hurry to get home. but ive ran the 1/8th before and cut a 2.2 60' and a 9.5 1/8 E.T. stock, so im pretty sure i could get at least a 14.5...I hope, maybe ill go to the track this thursday and find out thanks for the complements though.

my freinds SOHC civic on a t28 is in the low 13s,,,

there kids around here... sad to say it but... they have FMIC and not turbo setups, a couple tegs and preludes have them, makes me sick.


what is this world comming to... fmic for just looks, i mean in one instance he had a huge front mount, and i look at his exhaust, and it was a damn mcdonalds straw..

when i was at the track there was an integra type r with an fmic, Well i dunno if it was just the fmic or fmic with whoel turbo setup, but the guy was running 14.6 and was well pissed off that I ran over a second faster than he did, thing is his car costs like 6 times as much as mine.
