GS-T Vs WRX

So finally i get to run my friend Rahul. He was a previous owner of a 2003 Eclipse GS..but got hit by a truck and it crashed..so he got $14,000 from his insurance and used it to purchase his car he always wanted. A subaru WRX with 40,000 Miles on it. We agreed to run on a 2nd gear roll, though we ran from 10 MPH roll in 1st gear..1st race..i go and pull on him very brutally then realized his shift knob came off (there goes my excitement )..so i wait for him and we run again..from a 10 MPH roll again, i immediately pull ahead of him by 1/2 car but uh oh hes catching up and as soon as im getting ready to shift to 3rd he has a fender on me, thats untill i pull right past him (gotta love the 3rd gear in the eclipse)..i let off in 4th gear..i had about a 1/2 car to 1 car on him, but i saw myself pulling on him slightly further and further. If the race continued i think i wouldve pulled on him even more. Hes basically stock with no mods, just got the car. I can honestly say this has been one of the best Heartpumping roll runs i have ever run. Those WRX's sure are quick on a roll too. Just thought i would share my Victory even though i know from a dead stop he would have beaten me..no doubt in that. Rahul if your reading this great race bro..i look forward to seeing how your car reacts to the mods you want and then well have to race again once i get the Evo 16g, thats if i dont have to spend my money on repairs like i have all year, just my bad luck.

on the horizon, MBC w/ Boost gauge, Greddy type S BOV, Evo 16G, 2.5 inch turboback exhaust, FMIC (if i can afford it), and supporting mods, its summer time and im definitely working hard to earn $..and hopefully soon i can begin this Project GST ive been thirsty for

trust me WRX arent that fast from a roll. With my mods i have taken a EVO w/ a cat-back from a 40mph. Just get a T-Back exhaust and you will leave him by a good 2-3 car lengths

Ofcourse there not that "Fast" from a roll but either my GS-T has been running like sh!t or his WRX is just very quick. I know what you mean about running these cars from a roll..this isnt the first WRX i have beaten from a roll..this one WRX i raced before this one i beat by 2 cars by the time i was switching out of third and he had Exhaust as his visible mod and i still pulled on him so i dk whats up..why it was such a close run against a stock WRX from a roll . I still feel i should have pulled on him a little bit more but like i said i ran him from a 10 MPH roll..maybe if i had run him from a 40 MPH roll, the race wouldve been a little different. And when you ran that EVO you ran him 40mph-till what??

fwd from stop = no traction... problem..
im assuming if you guys raced from stop it would of looked a bit different..
any one raced a wrx from stop on gst/fwd? how are the gaps through the first 3gears?

a wrx will eat you off a stop...my friend has one, we dont play around wit htat shit he has cat-back, intkae & up-pipe and he pulled off a high 13. Off a roll it does lose power due to awd but even then it is still pretty quick. If it has an upgraded turbo like the vf34 ure gone, it will eat u off a stop & if you arent modified enough it will take you of a roll

that was pretty much a stock vs. stock race... But your statement about the upgraded turbo is kinda retarded in my opinion.... Thats like saying my 50 trim upgrade can rock stock WRXs from the line and from the roll because they arent modified enough. That is true with any car... what a redudant statement... 2 cars who run near the same stock times, if one is modded more than the other, then it should be apparent which one should win with equal drivers.

WRXs are nice but they aren't gods, from a roll WRXs have yet to take me, even if they have around the same mods as me... Now with my turbo upgraded, I hope I will be able to kick some serious a$$.

Jesse: Ive been in your car and ill admit that your car pulls like a bi***..unbelievably quick for a t-25. By the way what is the update on your car, did u get it running again or are u still working on it??

ya i'd say 500hp/500tq is decent for a truck

how long was the race? my friends dad has one of those truck n when i rode in it once..well lets just say it felt like i was driving a crx home when i got back in my car.

i just got done walking a brand new black one with gold Te37s ( i was drooling while i was racing it) , it had a boost controller, apexi 3" exhaust. I walked him from a 35mph roll to about 80 by 3-4 lengths and kept pulling. I was just hoping we would get a race from a Stop light though SHow him how to trully launch an AWD car .

the day i raced the srt10 it was hot and muggy like i said, so it looked from the rear veiw that he was pulling on me ever so slightly. i think had it been cooler out i would not have had a problem walking away. but i was hitting fuel cut in 2nd, 3rd and 4th
