Hello,

I'm back with a '92 Galant problem. I'm in the process of getting the condenser fan wiring to how it should be originally, already did it for the radiator fan and it worked as it should, but according to the manual that I have, the fan connector (A-24) should have 4 terminals, while the one in my car only has 2 (Figures 2, 3 and 4), it doesn't really look modified to me, but it's still strange that it doesn't match. Maybe I'm missing the right circuit for my model, the one I'm using (Figure 1) says "Non-Turbo (FWD, AWD-M/T)" while my car is FWD but A/T, there's no option for that specific configuration in the manual so I went with the one below as it's the closest to it. Does anybody know if this is normal, or if I'm getting something worng? I'm attaching pictures of the actual connector in my car and the circuit diagram that I'm trying to work with.

Thanks in advance for any help!

It looks like someone replaced the 4 pin connector with a 2 pin. Looks like heat shrink or electrical tape on the wires. The 2 pin connector does match the Mitsubishi style connectors. Looks like a knock sensor connector almost.

My guess would be someone bypassed/eliminated the condenser fan motor resistor.

I thought the same but there isn't any obvious splicing of the wires or anything, the fan only has 2 wires coming out of it, and they have no tape or heatshrink, and the piece of tape you see in one of the wires was to get a ground to the other fan so they would both turn on when the ignition was set to ON, which is what I'm trying to get rid of, but it doesn't look like anybody cut them at any point. I'm not in the US so there could be some slight variations regarding wiring for my specific model here, but so far everything in the manual has been accurate.

The diagram doesn't match on the 1992 galant vr4 or it didn't on mine when I wired in my new fan set up. I may be able to help more when I get home. If you want I can message you when I get there.
That would be very helpful if you can, mine is not a VR-4 by the way, just a regular Galant with FWD.

Two wire set up is no big deal your fans just will not have a low and high speed. But the two relays on the driver side of the core support are the temp actuated radiator fan and the two relays on the passenger side are the a/c.

Should still be the same I would think

Would you happen to have pictures of how the connections for the fan and resistor should look like? Maybe the missing wires are somewhere around that area and I just have to know how they look.

Hopefully, would you happen to have pictures of those connections by any chance?

😬 but I can tell you what wires you need, and what they do.

Just out of quriosity I double checked and still pulls the same diagram for fwd.
