91 Driveshaft in a 90?

Does anyone know if a driveshaft from a 1991 Automatic GSX will bolt into a 1990 Manual GSX? i asked the dealer and they said yes, but then again they told me they didnt make a 1991 automatic GSX WTF so yeah. Thanks for your help!

What i mean by driveshaft is the propeller shaft. So the shaft going from the transfer case to the rear differential

Using Mitsubishi CAPS part search program (dealers use it to find part numbers), the numbers match up, the pictures look the same. So I am basically telling you the same thing the dealer said. My car is a manual transmission so I haven't seen the automatic driveshaft to compare to in real life. Theoretically though everything should work. Where are you buying/ getting the driveshaft from? maybe pull yours out and compare side by side, if that is possible. The only place I am thinking could be a problem is in the transfer case. I do not know if they changed the splines coming out of it, I know mid 91 they changed the input splines. If it was different, the caps software usually picks things like that up but who knows could be wrong here. Count the splines on your Transfer case, measure the bolt hole centers where it mounts to the differential. And try and do a side by side comparison.. good luck!

Well i have a 2 hour drive to get to where i need to pick up the driveshaft thats why i was wondering. If they have the same part numer then they should match up, i mean you would receive the same part either way. i just wanted some assurance, i'm buying it for 30 bucks so i dont think it will be a total loss if it doesnt fit. I hope it works
