Deep River,
mods are: 9:1 compression, hks 272/264, ported head, ported 14b, mbc set at 13psi, stock fuel system accept for pump rewire. no matter what if i'm on the throttle slighty or at WOT i get 9 counts of knock. my timing advance was previously only hitting 8* but i adjusted my base timing to 7* so now i peak out around 15* at WOT around 7 grand. My o2s were at .8. Sorry i couldn't post the entire log i haven't been able to figure out hot to get it onto the comp from the palm. Any suggestions as to why i knock 9 counts regardles? Any help would be great thanks :talon:

My bet is either your knock sensor needs to get replaced or knock sensor wiring harness is not connected properly. Good luck! :thumb:

Set the base timing to 5degrees btdc. When my knock sensor was unplugged I constantly had 7counts of knock.

hmmmmm i'll check the wiring. i know the sensor is good because i changed it in the summer when my motor was out and i was building it. It's a good possibility that its the wiring the motor's been out twice since the rebuild :thumbdown LOL go figure eh....oh well its all fun and games thanks very much tho. does the timing advance and o2 voltage look ok though?

Knock sensor not plugged in or wires cut. 9 counts is the "default" value for the computer if it reads "no input" from the knock sensor.
