Ok took a trip to des moints and did some pulls on the interstate. My car has a 16g, FMIC, 255 fuel pump. My clutch is starting to go out ( if that makes a diferance.) Whenever I started to build boost my knock count would jump to 43 counts even when I wasnt WOT. This in turn kills my timing curve and I loose a ton of power. Any ideas what it is?

i assume hes using a pocketlogger or TMO.

check your base timing and make sure its 5degrees.

have you changed your fuel filter latey? check it it could be clogged.

does it sputter or do any weird stuff when your at WOT?

is it phantom knock? try going from a 2d gr roll and start at 4k. is it still knocking?

also check your plugs, how do they look like?

all good ideas. I will check on them later this week. It is doing it when I am boosting as little as 1lb. So if it is a fuel problem thats kind of scary.

put some NGK 7es plugs in if you dont already have them. therwise do what everyone else above suggested.

If its doing it at 1lb of boost you may want to starting thinking phantom knock. I had the same problem, turned out to be lots of carbon on the piston tops causing hot spots.
