Well I would like someones opinion on this. So my car had a knock and I thought it was a rod bearing well all the bearings seem ok but does this crank look ok?

You will have to get much more detailed pics to figure out if that crank is good.
Or better yet take it to your local crank specialist.

Well the crank looks "Gold" to me but in some areas its black like it got burnt or something. But yea its going to the machine shop soon just seeing if by the looks I should just buy a new one

From here it looks okay, if anything the crank journals might have some scoring. Some lines are normal, but they shouldn't be deep enough to catch your fingernail. But I agree that some much closer pictures would help.

How do the bearings look?

Edit- Unless the crank needs to be cut more than .5mm there's no reason to trash it.

The bearings look alright except for the fact they have some scratches some more than others but a lot of discoloration like blue/black and alright do you think the machine shop will tell me if its trash or not?

Yes, a good machine shop will tech the shaft out and let you know what needs to be done.

Also make sure you have the oil galley balls removed in the rod throws so you can clean the crud out. make sure to tap and plug them once the oil galleys have been cleaned.

SVO,

Is there a recommended way to remove the plug balls (at my home shop)? I have put them in before, but would like to take them out and put in plugs for cleaning like you recommend. Usually my machine shop guy does not pull them out and I worry about debris (though i clean as well as I can usually without removing them).

Thanks.

Common way I know is to use a tig and erode the balls and pull them out.
