Any experience with this turbo? Will be budget build with 6 bolt rods, 2g pistons, ARP rod bolts, head studs, portmatched head with crower valvesprings, stock retainers, and deltacam "kelford 272" profiles. Stock tranny for now with ACT 2600. Looking for 550awhp. Also, I'm using the FP T31 housing with FP manifold, as I have found that the 57 wheel on these turbos are nothing more than a stage 3 wheel they've always provided so it fit the housing perfectly.

550 WHP on stock 2G pistons "CAN BE DONE" - but it's not typical.

The weak part of this equation is the pistons, spend $400-$450.00 and get a set of proper forged pistons - and if you have an extra $300-350.00 buy a set of good H beam rods.

It's not so much a budget build when it goes back together and goes boom.

you're guna be really angry when 2 week after your build you have to tear down your block and replace those pistons

at the minimum go with 1g big rods and forged pistons

If ## worried about budget building....look for a used set of forged pistons and a used set of rods on the classifieds...just beware the ASSHOLES on the site...I just got ####ed over for 1000 USD but a dude selling a "FULL-RACE" manifold..which turned out to be OBX...

HIS HANDLE IS KIDTSI....not to be confused with person who posted earlier LOL TSIKID.
