I know there's other threads about this already, but I have a few specific questions I have not seen answers to. #1 what are all the differences when using a non turbo 6 bolt, just oil squirters ? And #2 I plan on using my 2gb 7 bolt head, what all do I need to make this specific swap work? The non turbo 6 bolt I found is from a 92 talon. I know I'm gonna need dsmlink but what else should I be pulling from the donor?

You can use non turbo block without the squirters you will be fine. To use the 2g head on the 6 bolt head you will need to drill out the head stud holes as there 1mm smaller on the 2g head. Recommend you upgrade pistons 2g pistons to be precise and new oil pump. Better safe then sorry. Also you will need the 2g motor mounts. Probably a few other things I cant think of right now.

Nice, so can I just use the mounts already in my car; with some new inserts? And I planned on using some weisco pistons already, should I swap the rods wile I'm at it?

There might be issues with the NT block not having provision for a knock sensor. The threaded hole may exist in the block or if not, it could easily be drilled and tapped. I forget the whole story, but it's also something to think about.

Are you talking about using an existing NT motor or just the block to build the motor? If you're talking about an existing motor the compression ratio, pistons and piston to wall clearance are all different. If you're just using the block that's different. Your 2g head should have the head bolt holes enlarged to accept the larger head bolts.
