Alright I tried doing a search first but I couldn't really find an answer to what I need to know. Anyway I'm gonna be dropping in a 6 bolt short block with a 2g 7 bolt head on it into my 98 gst. I have read that the CAS has to be rewired when doing the 6 bolt swap but would it be any different when using a 7 bolt head? Also will I have to modify the motor mounts in any way? Please let me know of any other modifications that I would have to do in order to get it to work. Thanks in advance.

I wish I had the 14b instead of the t25 but I didn't get an exhaust manifold or turbo with the new block so I'm just reusing mine off my original motor and I'm still stuck with the t25.

Oh i see, well if you are interested my friend is selling his ebay t3/t4 50 trim and tubular exh mani for cheap. Brand new never used. If you're interested let me know and i can pm you his number. Just remember you will need to fab up a new oil return line and water lines for it if you get it.

Nothing personal and thanks for offering but I would have to pass on an ebay turbo. I've seen those thing junked after 10k miles many times. Besides it's not the price of the turbo that would kill me it's gonna be getting dsmlink and getting the car tuned etc. etc.

I hear you bro no problem. Treebonker i have a race shop mechanic who did a 6bolt swap on his own 2g when he had it back in the days and he did not have to modify any mount. It bolted right in.

Dear lord!!! The motor mount will need to be modified and the CAS has nothing to do with which head you use...

You can use the T25. Just widen the return line bolt hole to the outer side and it'll fit on the 1G oil pan.

Thanks so much for that link. I've been looking around for something like that for the past week and couldn't find it. It's real annoying that you can't use numbers in the search function.
