I recently did a 6 bolt swap on a 93 talon with a black top cas sensor and am unable to advance the timing to stock base timing of 5 degrees. The cas is advanced all the way and my base timing is set to 0 degrees with the cas advanced to its limit, I need to advance it more but the cas mold only goes so far.
I already double checked the timing belt timing, the cams and the crank are lined up perfect, the harmonic balancer is in perfect shape as well.
I have worked on many problems with dsm's, I know these cars pretty well and this is a new problem I have not seen before.
This is my third 6 bolt swap.
