Hey everyone.. Im ready to upgrade my stock t25 for a turbo that will put me into the 350-400hp range.. i was thinking about a 50 trim or the EVO III 16g but what one would be better for everyday car and sometimes for the track?

Also i was curious what 50 trim would be a direct bolt on to my 2g mani and o2 pipe..

will the EVO III fit the stock o2 pipe?

Decisions Decisions!

LOL what the hell, we battle out here for you to tell you which one is better but you go with something totally different hahaha, thats funny.

What are you talking about? He said 50 trim, not which one. You do know the rs49t is a 50 trim, right? If I remember correctly, the post started as a debate between the 50 trim and evo3. He did ask about a turbonetics 50 trim so wouldnt that cover the rs49t? Check agp's website and you will see what he is looking at. There is a link posted by dave99gst right above my post that explains it.

a little off topic but, has anyone heard or had an experience with HRC's super 16G? it seems to be pretty good claiming no boost creep(10cm turbine housing), etc, thats what i was looking at buying when i come around to getting a new turbo??

The super 16g is a really laggy turbo (spooling starts around 4k) ....unless your into that :thumb: If a 16g is what your looking for, just go with an evoIII big 16g...its a proven little beast. Full spool is at 3-3.5k I did a 13.15 with mine...that was at 20psi, still rather untuned, crappy 60 foots, and full weight/exhaust.

Hahah Jim its been a long time... I can see you are as crazy as always... GT30 eh? hahah I will go back and just give the old answer of what you are looking for... I personally have a AGP 50trim .48 and I love it... I got the whole kit from them... I get full at around 2-2.5k. Unless you keep your turbo unspooled there is no way you spool as slow as the other guy said... well he also had a 60 trim ofcourse.

Lol. well with a built motor it can take a shit kicking now and I have this ####y ass 50 trim turbo. SO I wanna make 450whp on pump gas, so what? I have friends with Supra's and low 11 second Miatas and motor cycles and shit, I need to get it together. A GT30R will make great power on pump gas and kick ass on race gas.

I dunno, the car keeps getting faster and faster and I'm never happy really... :sosad:

Ok, so I am far away from a turbo upgrade, but I am still looking ahead--I want to run mid to low 12's. And every time I read somebody's post regarding FWD traction issues, I sit here and get mad at myself for not getting a GSX. From what I've read, it would of made things so damn much easier! Am I justifed in thinking I need AWD, or do you guys think I can accomplish my goals in my GST?

Have you ever been to the dragway? The track is sticky. I, surprisingly, find myself having almost enought traction in my FWD. Lower the air pres. a bit, tighten up rear shocks, soften up the fronts, and I get some pretty good results now. Now that may all change a bit, I just ordered a SBR G50. But I ordered the 50 trim for a reason. Because Im FWD. A 50 trim in a FWD will help me get traction and keep it decently throughout. Im glad my turbo wont spool fully till 3800rpm's. W/ an E3 16G I would need tires every other week! Low 12's are very reasonable for a FWD on a 50 trim. I still believe that I will have good traction, due to the slower spool on the 50 trim, and run a very respectable time. hope this helps w/ your decision.
