4g63 to 4g63t

I know I'm not the only person looking for this. I know the differences in the engines (compression, oil squirters, etc.) but I'm just wondering if theres a journal or something of somebody actually turbo-ing a standard 4g63. Help?

Block and crank are the same (minus oil nozzles) which many people choose to block anyways. Just put a turbo on there and keep it at wastegate pressure until you get enough money for forged pistons/rods. Have the block bored/honed if needed and install those. No reason to jump through all the hoops for a "turbo" 6 bolt.

If you are looking for a long block to swap in, I have used Tiger Japanese motors with very good results and they cost under 1500$ for a turbo 4g63. As far as the turbo conversion goes, I can personally say I agree with the NPR piston debate because I have had very good success with them. I have used a non-turbo block for 3 builds that come to mind, because I choose not to run squirters. I had a build ( could even dig up time slips if needed ) for a high 10 second build using a 6 bolt NT block setup and NPRs using 6 bolt turbo rods.
