Is it possible to put a nonturbo engine into a car that had a turbo engine into it? What all is involved in doing so? Is it hard?

Anything is possible if you have the funds for it. In this case you'll need lots of it. Why would you even consider that?? You'd have to do quite a bit of fab work. And devaluing a DSM at the same time.

and devaluing a dsm is SAD. plus it'd cost you shitloads of time and money. why are you considering this, sir?

devaluing is very bad LOL. It seems kinda redundant though to put a weaker motor in a car and spend so much on custom fabs when you could get the original or the 6 bolt and have a better motor with no customizing.

while i love my 420a (and i realize you could be talking about a NA 4g63) but i dont understand these motor swaps when its far cheaper just to buy the NA dsm you want than doing a swap

Yes, it can be and Yes it could be cheap.

Find a wrecked donor make sure Front clip tranny driveshaft rear end is good.
Pull both motors from eah car and doing a visual comparsion of what needs to be swapped over.

Get a plasma cutter/ cutting torch, you need the brackets. and cut brackets from the other Dsm to weld in the others. I recommend a tig welder, do good welds when you tack them also good bead when finish welding.

Good welds, alot of time and patience.

Why do this, just sell what you have and buy a non turbo car.

No the turbo unless he doesnt want a turbo I dont see why someone wouldnt want a turbo

I got a blown motor in a GST and find that the 4g63 engines are very expensive and very hard to find compared to the 420a. I figured if I could not find a 4g63 cheap enough then I could put a 420a in the car instead and sell it to get more out of it and just find another GST.

a 420a will not go into your GST...unless you spend about $2000 grand to have someone cut/weld and new front clip on, if you know what that means.

How the hell is the 4g63 a hard motor to find?! Theres stock 7-bolt motors going on the classifieds here all day long!
