Engine mount: 7 bolt back into a 2G that had 6 bolt swap done

I wondered what's involved with putting a 7 bolt back into a 2G after it already had a 6 bolt swap done, specifically with regards to the motor mount that was trimmed to accommodate the 6 bolt water pump.

From the pics I've seen, it appears that the trimmed section removes one of the threaded holes where the 7 bolt engine would be bolted back in. Is this not a problem? Will that part of the mount need to be welded back in?

A bit of a long story as to why I’m asking this. I know it’s unusual.

If it worked on the. 6 bolt with a missing bolt it will work on a 7bolt missing a bolt. However getting a used mount bracket from someone is only going to cost you about 10 dollars.

are you sure the swap was done like this? there are many other ways it could have been done, it is very easy to use a 2g engine mount on a 6-bolt block, you just have to trim a piece for the water pump, if thats the case, then just pick up a new mount for like 20 bucks and bolt it up to your 7-bolt.

Appreciate the replies. I will look for a part out on a 2G to get the original bracket.
