So after trying to start my car for the first time this is all I get, new gas, new plug, Ive checked all grounds and connections, I have no idea what to do next please help me. Please dont tell me to do the normal check compression, and all that even if i had bad compression the motor would still be turning over, there is no turbo so please dont ask me to do a boost leak test, the car started fine before the build the only issue I had was a blown rod. No CEL and both ethe starter and alternator are within a year old. Please HELP ME. video of start
So I poured a bit of seafoam in the intake to see what would happen and the car turned over half a time, where is the fuel pump located on these cars, ive never had to replace it so I have no idea.

Im not saying they dont I worked at a part store for awhile and thing would fail in 15 min.LOL. But it worked fine the last time I started the car. Only a slight hesitation due to the car sitting for 3 months, but ill check the voltage, and I checked all the fuses everything is in order on that end.

Ok so just got back from wally world with a new and the most expencive volt meter they sell and the starter and battery are both testing between 12.3 and 12.4 volts. I have no idea what to do next. The battery is an optima red top.

I see alot of those red tops die. even though it says 12 volts it can still be bad try and start the car at the same time measuring the voltage (at the battery) if it drops below 10 while trying to crank the battery is toast.

Have you thoroughly cleaned out the battery posts and terminals? I had to do that today LOL

The battery starts my truck just fine no hesitation, and the truck requires more CCA's than the eclipse does. I put the battery in my truck so it wouldnt die while I have been rebuilding the motor.

Well I appreciate your help and incite, but I am so ready to set this car on fire I have taken the motor out rebuilt it, installed it no start so I took it back out tore it down re checked all of the wiring and dropped the motor back in and now here I am. She blew a rod march 27th and has not been driven more than 30 feet to put her in the garage so I could work on her. I miss driving my car:cry:.
