3rd cylinder no comp ( new motor )

ok well i just did a motor swap on my 90 fwd tsi got it all back together with ARPs, 4 layer head gasket and just a 3 inch full thermal exhaust no other mods , i got the motor reringed , bearing and seals , got the block decked , valves ,valve seals all checked , the head was warped so i had it re decked , well i got the motor in and went to start it and the 3rd cylinder wasnt firing at all , so i did a comp test and got nothing not even 20psi , i put some oil in the cylinder and still nothing , could this be a valve problem? any info is greatly appreciated.

There is a definate possibilty that it could be a valve problem/not seating correcly. Someone I know had there head completely rebuilt, and the same problem happened. You could do a leakdown before you decide to pull the head however, which may yeild results supporting this.
