3g wheels on a 2g

does anyone know if it is possible to put 3g wheels on an awd 2g. i know the bolt pattern is the same, but do the offsets match up, has anyone else done this? Just wondering all this cause i found a good deal on a set of 17in 3g wheels. What do you think?

there was a guy on another board that had 3g wheels on his 2g tsi. looked pretty good

They will fit fine. Are they the 17's off the new GTS's or the GSX look alike rims?

I think those look way better on a 2g than they do on a 3g. I am not partial to the 3g's though. They need to turbo one....I think it would sell better.

I like them better on my car then on the 3g's. I sell Mitsu's and Memorial day weekend we are supposed to get the 4g eclipse. I can't wait to drive one. Plus side: Mivec V6 260-270hp, 650watt rockford fosgate system, Totally redisigned car. Downside: only FWD, No turbo at all.

On a another note the Wheels don't look to bad.
