i am going to get one for my 16g, who sells them other than slow boy racing?
does anyone offer a better internal gate for a 16g thats in the 50 and under price range?

can u port out the hole with the turbo on the car before u install the 34mm wastegate on or does the turbo have to be takin off? because the hole has to be ported for the wastegate to fit right?

well im just curious as far as labor charges are for doing it cuz it goes by the hour. Unless its not that hard to take off then ill do it myself and bring it to a machine shop and get it ported out and put the flapper in myself as well.

You don't need to put on that flapper if its an Evo III 16G. I don't have it and have ZERO creep, if thats why you want to do it. Rock steady psi settings all the time. Its all in the porting and I did it myself with a dremel. You want the exhaust flow to go to the wastegate area first, than the turbine blades. So when the flapper opens, the first place the air wants to flow is out that flapper door. I also ported the wall that separates the flapper area and the turbine exit. I made the air flow more "smooth" as it exits the flapper and into the O2 housing.
As far as taking it off, I can do it in 30 minutes. What I do is remove the down pipe bolts, and manifold bolts. Pull out the fans (Both) for more room. Make sure you disconnected the water lines and oil line to the turbo. Than after all the bolts are removed, I Crack the 4 bolts holding the turbo to the manifold, but I do not take them out. Than Pull the entire manifold/turbo setup together out of the car. I manuver the setup to come out from above the car with the upper radiator hose still attached. You can also manuver it to come out from the bottom, but I think its easier from the top. I have done it about 4 times now. and it easy. "You can do it!!!"
