Is the drop in boost true about the 34 mm flapper mod?

I have a BIG 16g and have everything ported and it still creeps badly. I wanna get the flapper mod done, but I heard the boost drops a couple pounds on some people when the door opens. Is this true? Does anyone know from experience?

No, you have a MBC for a reason, you will be fine.

The reason you get the 34mm flapper mod done is to flow more out of the wg passage. If you get this done, all you would probly have to do is adjust your boost controller again (MBC or EBC).

Its not a matter of losing boost, its helping expell the exhaust gases better through the wg passage, hence controlling the boost. Then just go from there.

THE DROP IS TRUE.

When you install a larger flapper door, you present the exhaust gasses with a larger area on which to exert force; as such, exhaust pressure will blow the door open, and you won't be able to hold boost at higher rpm's.

I know lots of people who couldn't hold more than 18-19 psi at redline.
