2nd gear grinding problem..

Lately my 2nd gear has been grinding, i checked the clutch fluid and it was empty so i guessed it was cus of that, i filled it up and it still grinded.
Today i noticed that the master is leaking fluid, would a bad master cause the grinding?

It could cause the clutch to not be able to disengage all the way making it hard to get into gear. Is it only second gear that is hard to get into? If so it could be your syncros in the transmission. Also, are you sure the transmission is full?

Yeah only second grinds, every other gear is butter

I'd say your 1-2 syncros are damaged.

well ima be changing the master today so hopefully is that.. and i wont have to take the tranny apart

Yeah, it's gonna need replaced anyway if it's leaking. Hopefully that will help your problem.
