So I went to a tranny place and well they gave me these codes
-36 Fault Immediate after shift
-53 Gear Ration error in third

Before going I did everything ppl would say in the forums and thank you! but now im guessing its the actual tranny :/ its really expensive to do it at a shop so ima do it myself and ive been looking up inventory at junkyards for trannys for my 96 eclipse fwd auto ...
just wondering will an eagle talon tranny be able to be used instead? junkyards have more talons than eclipses where i live and trannys are way way way cheaper than at a shop. Thank you for your time :D

as long as it is the same motor/ trans combo, then yes it will work. 4g63 talons and eclipses are exactly the same mechanically speaking.

As he mentioned, you need to get the same year preferably to make sure your spline counts are the same. I'm not sure how the 420a transmission is between the 2g years though. A 420a does not have the same transmission as a 4g63.

well ill try my best tomorrow to look for the same year and make and hope its a auto too LOL its so lame it snowed in salt lake all day today and ima be walking around in the junkyard in the cold taking off a tranny :/ what i do for my baby :)
