ever since i had my 2nd gen n/t talon my speedometer hasent worked the rpm gauge, oil, fuel, heat ext. all work fine my speedometer always reads 60 no matter how fast im going so i put a new speed sensor in and that didnt work then i put a new gauge cluster in it still dosent work i dont know what else it could be any ideas?

i use to have a talon esi that wouldnt read the speed at all mine wasn't the actual sensor it was one of the wires...try checking them as well...well atleast as much as u can...also my buddies 2nd gen actually had a short at the gauge it self an had to replace the whole piece so that could be it to

Inspect and/or pin-probe the wire from the VSS to the computer, and the harness going to the cluster for a short to hot.

my friend had this problem w/ his 420a (w/ turbo). we took his computer and put it in my car and it was same thing he had. only his problem was no speedometer or tachometer. fuel and temperature guages worked. bought a new computer solved his problem. so if u know anyone w/ another 420a just swap in a different computer and see if that fixes it for you.
