Hello I own Mitsubishi Eclipse 2g GS from 1998 and yesterday while driving my car battery died and car turned off, while I was driving oil light and abs light started to flicker and the dash light itself got darker and speedometer and rpm meter turned off then short after the car died in the middle of the street. Today I bought new battery the car works perfectly fine but the abs and oil light that were flickering won't go away.

What might be the problem please help me.

Thank you

So are they on when driving or when ignition is off? Have you read codes cuz that definitely should give you some DTCs

From your description it sounds like the alternator wasn’t charging your battery while driving which eventually drained it.

If you have a way to check voltage, do that while the car is running.
I'm not the op, but for me I would not start with alternator

They are on while driving when I start the car they turn off but after 2 minutes of driving they turn on. I can't read DTC my VIN is locked

You can do key dance and Morse the code, also I never heard that "vin is locked, can't read codes" dlc should just have can bus, grounds and power and nothing to do with vin number really

I would start checking ground spots and check connectors from the fusebox inside, possibly do voltage drop test on the fuses, but read the codes first
