Hello all,
I’m about to purchase a 2GA AWD 5 speed transmission to swap in my 2GB. I believe my 2GB trans is getting worn out, so I plan to send my 2GB for rebuild, but before I do I just wanted to confirm once and for all the following.
All that is different between these manual transmission is the front driff drive ring and therefore the output to the T-case, and that I will need a matching 2GA t-case to go with the 2GA transmission. If I were to use my 2GB t-case with the 2GA transmission, the center diff would fight the rear diff and break, correct?
I’m posting this to confirm the rear 3.545 differential for manual cars is cross compatible between 2GA and 2GB transmissions.
Can anyone also confirm if my 2GB speed sensor will work fine with the 2GA, or do I need to order a 2GA speed sensor as well, and connect to the existing speed sensor harness?
Thanks in advance.
