Well I just got the car running and it starts up and sounds fine. No lifter tick. It is idling a little high but I probably just need to adjust the idle screw. Any ways my oil light is on and my gauge stays at the bottom.

I removed the balance shafts with a removal kit. I have 0 leaks anywhere. I pulled the oil filter off and there was just some old oil that stayed in the filter housing when it was apart thats all, none of the new oil had made its way into the filter. I drained the oil and pumped some oil into the filter housing with a pump. poured the oil back in and still no pressure, oil light on, surprisingly no lifter tick still. Not sure what the issue could be.. any suggestions?

I just pulled the filter again and the plug right by the pressure sending unit and there was very minimal amount of oil in there. I was gonna run and replace the sensor and sender but it looks like no oil is getting to them. Is there a proper way to prime the system?

Tell us how you did the elimination, did you remove the bs bearings and turn them so they block the oil passage?

Yeah i followed these instructions. The replacement bearing for the left balance shaft did not fit so I turned the stock one so that the hole was in a different spot. I did nothing with the rear shaft bearing.

Balance Shaft Eliminator Kit Install

Now would this cause oil to not even go through the oil filter?

any way to prime it now? I tried pumping the filter housing full with a pump I have for putting oil into xfer cases and diffs.

Awesome post! thanks. I have a spare one of those nozzles too so I dont have to pull mine off the plenum

If the engine was physically running and had no oil pressure, I would suspect something was missed when reassembling after the balance shaft elimination. What kind of stubby shaft did you use on the oil pump gear?
