If your worried about starving the engine an accusump may be for you. Also, the Moroso oil pan only comes in 6-bolt configuration sooo as far as I know it will not fit a 2g unless you throw in a 6-bolt block. As far as I know, I am not having any oil starvation issues even with the hoosiers on.

^^^^^ Wow I feel really stupid, I apologize, I was looking for those oil pans forever and I guess.....I dont know what...good find. Thanks!

I had been curious as well about the oil pans. But as someone already stated, am not having any oil starving issues on the track. When I first started preparing the car, I did however just get a nw factory OEM oil pan just to be on the safe side. At this point, I cant justify spending the extra couple of hundred dollars on one when there are other things I "need" to do. Would be interested in seeing what Greg or Tyson has to say. I believe they ran/run and after market oil pan.

That is a pretty cool product there. I am going to do some more research on it. I have never seen that before. You thinking about giving it a shot? I think I might. $75 isn't that bad for it you know? What do you guys think?

D Eclipse - I'm not sure if 7 bolts do or not. But a new couldn't hurt you know?

^^^^If the jelly beans were included I would say "go for it!", but there not, soooo:notgood:

Seriously though If your willing to be the guinea pig than do it. You would be able to give us some good feedback since you'll be running it on the track:thumb:

Well I don't like the "guinea pig" label but I will for sure look into it a little more and see if it it would be worth it. I don't see why it would cause any problems. I think I might wait until the series is over though to try it out just in case something does go wrong.

Crank scrapers have been around for a few years now. Mach V has been selling them for years. I have one and I have no complaints. Helps keep the oil down in the pan. It has never effected oil pressure either. If your running a stroker motor, I do not know if you would have the clearence with the longer stoke.

peypey's ride - Thanks for the input of this product. Always nice to hear 1st hand experience with something. One question though...What is a "storker" motor? LoL, just kidding with you man, I knew what you meant.

I have herd to not use any gaskets with an OEM oil pan, and to just use silicon.

Do you have any sealing issues having the crank scraper between the oil pan and the block ?

Good question Ryan. I have heard that as well, not only there but in other areas as well. Don't know about you, but I run gaskets everywhere I am "suppose" to.

I used sealant between the block and the scraper, but, I used a gasket between the scraper and the oil pan. I have had no issues with it like this. I did have to use a little bit longer hose for the push-lock oil return line.

Thanks for the input on your setup with it peypey...I think I will pick one up but still wait untill after my series to make any changes like that.

My car has a *lot* of track miles on it, with the stock oil pan (1g 7-bolt in a 2g). Looked into the Moroso pan awhile back , but it looked like it was going to hang down a little lower (which is unacceptable to me).

I can understand your concern with that issue. I had not heard that about the Moroso pan yet. I too am running a stock 7 bolt oil pan. But I don't think putting this part in there would cause the oil pan to hang down to low in my car. An intersting piece though I think.
