I know there is a difference in the intake ports between a 1g and 2g, but if i were to put a 2g head on my car, will it pull any different and can i use the cams out of the 2g as well?
 
The reason they went to the smaller ports and the t-25 was to boost lowend pull and spoolup. You will notice the difference but slightly. If your plans are for higher mods the 2g intake will limit your topend.

Also I would stick with the 1g cams, they are a good upgrade for the 2g.
 
Im probably not going to mod it till sometime this winter, but could i get it ported to make up for the smaller ports? Also even tho its an upgrade to get 1g cams, my motor was an auto and still has the stock auto cams out of my 92. I just want something thats not gonna fall off after 4800 :sosad:
Also, are the coolant and oil ports and bolt pattern all the same? Meaning is it basically a driect bolt on?
 
In your case it would probably be better to use a 1g head. Stock to stock it out flows the 2g head, plus the 2g head needs to be machined to fit the larger head studs of a 1g.

Well that depends. Are you strickly drag racing, auto X, street? Every application has different demands. Just like choosing intakes, cams, turbos. At what point do you say gee my head flow is really holding me back.
