I'm driving home from pick n pull and I hear a loud boom and something starts scraping under the car. I also notice my exhaust feels and sounds a lot louder. I get home and it park, leave the car idling and it is ridiculously loud. I look under the car to find my exhaust broke. Yes, it broke in half right at the part that goes over the rear cross member. I don't know how this happened because my AFRs were good and nothing else happened to the car, wired. I take the car to the exhaust shop and have them make me a new exhaust from the mid pipe back with no resonators for better breathing. Came out nice. I went home and decided I wanted to start my hand in welding because he mig welded it and I purchased a mig off ebay. Big mistake. I get it a few days later and don't like it, I instantly get on amazon and order a 200amp AC/DC tig welder.

I get the pistons and rods I ordered finally. A couple days prior I ordered one eagle h beam, ACL race series main and rod bearings, and wiseco pistons rings all from extreme psi. I get them cleaned and polished because they are really dirty and look pretty worn. The guy said they were to good to go and only needed new rings, one rod because one was burnt and new bearings. I'm not building the block yet I'm just getting stuff for when I do build it. I take them to my machinist to get checked out. He mics them and tells me they're crap. They were off by a lot. None of them were even close to being the same size. They also had small cracking on the sides. And the guy didn't want to give me a refund so I file a claim. Long story short, month or so goes by before I get my money back. He had the nerve to say I broke them. Extremepsi was nice enough to give a refund for the one eagle rod and (4) piston ring sets. Later that night I order some rc1200cc.

Finally hit the track today. I put on the BFG R1s and me and my wife grab the dog (pit bull puppy), pack some snacks, grab my jack and tool box and we are off. We head over to Wednesday night drags over at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma county ca. We get there and I could hear the screeching of tires, the roar of the big tire mopars and dragsters, I admit I was like a kid waking up Christmas morning. I pay to get in and head to the lanes. I see this guy with a newer corvette taking his tire pressure out and I walk over to ask why he was doing that, he told me for better traction, so I do the same
. I lower it to 18psi. I'm up against a old looking toyota or something first round. Do my little burn out and I pull up, I sitting there waiting on the 2step and his turns green and he takes off, mine turns red and I don't know what to do
. I'm there for about 6.5sec and the guy doing the lights points, like go wtf are you doing
. I go. Still beat the other car, get my slip and the dang thing says 18.xx at 114mph. I didn't know why until someone told me I red lighted and the time started, so according the the time it took me to go, I ran a 12.4-12.8 at 114. I was juiced, this was my first ever past. The rest of the night I couldn't get no where near that again. I think I was too nervous I ran a couple 14s and 13s but couldn't get a decent 60'. Was getting 2.2s. I told my wife to record every run and she did none, I was pretty mad about that because I wanted to kinda like study them.

Rocks hits the windshield and it breaks. I had to get a new one and I did just that the next day. They came at 8am in the morning and did me a huge favor because I had a meeting to get to in the city and didn't want to drive the car like that and risk getting a ticket. Thanks again to the window people. I also ran into a little problem. I had a exhaust leak from the turbo to manifold gasket. I wouldn't find a place that had, but I got lucky because FFTECH in Hayward not to far from me had a 8cm gasket that I needed. I also got some hoosier drag radials and Motegi racing rims for the front. 15" rims and they are super light weight.

I get my drag radials and Motegi racing rims. I also decided to switch to e85 because I have a station 5 minutes away. I just unplug the meth system and just fill up and change to the tune. The car started right up and idled really good. I only had to make a couple changes to the VE tables for the idle and had to ad very little to the mid and upper range. I couldn't figure out why because on the meth set up I would take fuel through out the range, I thought I would have to add it back and some for the e85.

Get up early to take the trip to FFTECH. I get the gasket and check out there cars while I'm there. 1000rwhp gtr, 8sec evos, some type of worlds fastest BMW something, and some dsm's. I hurry up home, out the gasket on and get trendy to leave to take the trip up to Sacramento raceway for the drags. I grab the drag radials and leave the r1s on the car for the drive up there. I grab my jack, stands, and tools, and our dog and we leave. Get there a little early and I park in the lanes and take out the tools, jack, and stands. Check the tune and first run I'm up against a fair lady Z. He ran 14 something I ran 13.6 at 111. I couldn't get the car to hook at all. I run a few more runs against that z turbo civic, turbo integra, 350Z and a Wrx. I win all of them except the Wrx, car bogged off the launch and I miss shifted twice. The last run of the night I finally out in the drag radials. I also change the tune a little because I was getting some knock on the top end. I run a 12.5 at 115. The I pad was dead for the last two runs so I don't have a clip. And between the track and the 1hr drive home we loose the dam tickets. We stopped to air up the tires at a gas station and my wife threw away some trash and I think that's when it happened. Anyhow I had the 13.4 in my pocket and i out that one up on the forums because I didn't want to post the 12.5 without the video or ticket. No biggy.

I would get a camera for next Wednesday so I can get videos of everything. I will also play with the tune some more to dial things in.

Put on the rc 1200 to try for more boost and have safer IDCs. We leave just in time to make it on time to the track if we don't hit traffic. Well about two miles from my house we run into traffic and the car kinda loses a little power. I also see some smoke coming from the hood so I take the next exit and pull over on the side of the exit. I check the hood and see the manifold to turbo bolts backed out some and I go to tighten them and the wrench turns back somehow and sticks to my chest. I had to pull it off because it melted my skin. That stuff hurt so bad. I can't get the car to stay running right so I sit in the car while my wife walks to the store to get me some ice, she wanted to and didn't want met of or some reason. Anyhow my brother sees my pulled over and he stops. My wife gets back and I had my brother take me home to get my old injectors to see if that was the problem. We get back out them on and I can't find my MacBook to change the tune. I left in on the back of my brothers car when we left my house and it fell off the trunk. We go back and it's gone. I go to bestbuy to buy a new one try the injectors. Still nothing. I call a tow truck. They get there, said the car was too low and left. AAA sucks!!!! I found a tow truck that would do it and I got it home.
Over the next few days I try to figure it out and can't. I dont have the log from when it started acting up, it was on he he MacBook. I get a new optima red top to try that and still nothing. Next day I finally build up the courage to get a compression tester, I say that because I thought it from when it happened, I just didn't want it to be it. Well I get zero in 2-3 cylinders. Looks like I found the problem. I talked to my wife and she said do what I got to do to get my car running. And my next build is about to begin. I'm pretty excited and not so at the same time. Excited I get to do it, but not so excited because I'm having a baby and should be saving. Anyhow we have money saved and I don't think it will be that much anyway. Or So I thought....
