2g emmisions removal?

I was wondering withe the taboo speed diagram of emissions removal would there be any paower gain or loss?? Or is it simply for simplicity sake?

The Taboo diagram will help eliminate boost leak possibilities. The less vacuum lines, the less chance of a leak. I doubt you'll notice any performance gains, but you'll definitely notice a cleaner engine bay!

I still don't believe that the EGR getting your intake all black and nasty inside gets you better mileage.

I removed everything on my 2g, and it gets better mileage than any other turbo DSM I've driven.

The "emissions controls" on cars from the DSM era are primarily in the mapping of the ECU and its reaction to the O2 sensor's readings.
EGR cools an off-power engine's combustion chambers. The failures of the early days of the technique were long-solved before a DSM was designed. Removal of tetraethyl lead from gasoline also had a huge effect on reducing combustion by-products and solids.
The effect of the Taboo cleanup is primarily visual. It won't affect the gas mileage of a healthy engine.
