Spyder 2g Eclipse Spyder convertible loose

HI, I just bought an 2g eclipse spyder gs-t a while back and I am in progress of building. I have notice that my convertible middle row bar at the driver side is loose. Whenever I push my hand on top of the bar, I can hear the tap. but the other side is tight. I am wondering if that is normal ? or should it be tight and can it be tightened? any help would be helpful.

I just got one too and it had some issues as well. I talked to this guy on ebay that I heard about his replacement parts on dsmtalk. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MITSUBISHI-...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item233ce2e94a He can probably tell you exactly what all needs fixed but it may be something as simple as a loose bolt. I had several bolts that were loose and caused some rattling when you drove down the road. Just some snooping around looking at all my pivot/bolt connections on the top and locating loose one's did a bunch of good. I still need to get the repair kit though but it had been winter so I wasn't real concerned of fixing the top so it would go down.

That makes sense. I appreciate your help.I am in Ontario, it is not easy to find parts here since 2g is never sold in Canada. any parts I need is in states. which im a bit screwed but oh well. thanks for your help.

No problem. I looked up some videos on replacing tops just so I could see the bare skeleton and get some ideas of places to look that may be causing problems. That might help you out as well.
