I don't know all the details of cf construction. I was referring to the entire hatch though and not how many layers of cf it is. Every cf piece I have seen for our cars (and most others), has only the outer layer(skin) in cf. The inner structure has been made up of fiberglass. From being in the autobody world, I know the inner frame of a door, hatch or hood is what weighs the most-by far. It makes up the majority of the weight. Is is possible for you to make the ENTIRE hatch, hood or door from cf?

It looks like you did a great job on this hatch and I'm not knocking it in any way. I have just been looking for someone to make full 100% cf pieces for our cars for years.

Again, making what you're asking for will cost double at least. There's a reason you don't see hoods made for most cars that are 100% CF with no fiberglass frame, it's really expensive.

I am also interested in the hatch. I am wanting to get a VIS EVO style hood also. Really want to see how the hatch looks on the car. If I don't like it personally I will be interested in a CF OEM one.

i doubt there would be a curved 3rd brake light assy out there. Maybe you could take a red led strip and mold it in.

thoughts of the third brake light.

iv'e never looked up close so i don't know exactly how they are constructed. but could you use one of those led bars that trucks use in between the tailgate and the bumper? the ones where their like split in two so you can hook the turn signal into them? i wouldn't do the turn signal part, but they might be too big across? just a thought!
