I don't know all the details of cf construction. I was referring to the entire hatch though and not how many layers of cf it is. Every cf piece I have seen for our cars (and most others), has only the outer layer(skin) in cf. The inner structure has been made up of fiberglass. From being in the autobody world, I know the inner frame of a door, hatch or hood is what weighs the most-by far. It makes up the majority of the weight. Is is possible for you to make the ENTIRE hatch, hood or door from cf?
It looks like you did a great job on this hatch and I'm not knocking it in any way. I have just been looking for someone to make full 100% cf pieces for our cars for years.
Again, making what you're asking for will cost double at least. There's a reason you don't see hoods made for most cars that are 100% CF with no fiberglass frame, it's really expensive.
