Resolved 2g big brake conversion on 1g...

I have a 91 talon tsi awd and I've been wanted to do a 2g big brake conversion all around. I've been doing a little research myself but still confused. Some people say you need to change out the proportional valve and some say you don't. The things I would need for the 2g brake conversion are basically brakes system? Caliper, Brackets, Rotors, Proportional valve? (missing anything?) I'm hoping that their wont be any mods/grinding needed from what I've researched? If not/wrong, let me know what I need or missing. Also, after the conversion is done, would my stock wheels still fit or would I need to upgrade? Thanks for the help.

Actually what you need are the calipers and rotors from a 93-94 1g AWD. These are the larger 2-piston calipers and larger diameter rotors. Everything bolts on including the hoses and should work fine with your existing valve and master cylinder.

Rears don't really need an upgrade.

Wheels will still fit fine as these brakes fit inside a 15" wheel.

This. You don't need to change the proportioning valve, keep the one you've got.
