I did alot of searching and I'm asking this to clarify before I purchase the wrong part.

I am looking to upgrade my 2g FWD with 93-94 "big brake" AWD setup.

I have the power slot AWD rotors, AWD brake pads and the 2piston 1g calipers. To my understanding all I need is the "big brake" brackets from the 1g AWD / stealth / 3kgt ect.

Will I need to do any modifications to make them fit?

Will these fit under 16 inch rims / tires for daily driving?

Will these fit under 15 inch slicks? If not what size slicks will I need to get?

Is this correct? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
-Thanks.

Look under "What can I use as a donor car...":

When I did my upgrade, I used everything from a 1g. It all fit perfectly fine with no modification.

These do fit under my 16" stock 5 spoke rims. I don't know if they'll fit over a 15" wheel though.

If you have a 1g caliper, you will probably also need to get the adapter lines from RRE. If your calipers attached to the line by a banjo bolt, then you'll be fine. But if the line directly screws into the caliper, then you need different lines.

I think the calipers are the same, but you need the 2g AWD brackes because the spindle is a bit diffrent. Its been so long since did one i cant remember exactly how it went. Correct me if im wrong.

You need the brackets for the dual piston calipers because they are different than the brackets for the single piston caliper. The calipers come either drilled for the 1G style brake lines or the 2G brake lines depending on what you source them from. It's a good idea to get the one matching the brake lines on the car rather than getting special lines to cross styles.

There is no spindle difference related to the caliper brackets. The spindle mounting points for the brackets are the same which is why you can bolt the "big brakes" up.

1G: You will need the 2-piston calipers, hub-to-caliper mounting brackets, shimming hardware, brake pads and rotors. (NOTE: some 95 AWDs also come with the banjo fittings, so make sure the calipers you get have the threaded fitting not the banjo bolt fitting, if transplanting to a 1G.)

From what this is saying and from what you all are saying it seems that all i do need is the 2piston "big brake" bracket to complete the process. Is this right?

I'm pretty positive that the AWD rotors i got are 1g AWD same with the pads.

Snowboarder714 : Since I have or will have the necessary parts (all 1g AWD) They will all go on with ease like you're saying? Or are you just saying the 1g parts you got were factory and thus went on easily? Thanks for the link, that one is so much better than the one I found.

Some of you expressed concern with the brake lines not aligning up. The calipers came with some brake line still on them (about 4 inches). Not sure if it's enough though. I'm also contemplating grabbing some SS brake lines if necessary while i search for the brackets.

Yep, all you'll need is some 2 piston brake brackets.

All of my parts were from a 1g (calipers and brackets) and then I bought rotors, pads, and adapted SS brake lines from RRE. Everything lined up and bolted up without a problem. As long as you have your calipers and brackets that are from a 2 piston '93+ car, you're all set. :thumb:

And it definitely sounds like you have the screw in style lines (since you said you have very short lines as well as 1g calipers). I would recommend getting SS brake lines, especially while you're in there and have everything out. The RRE adapted ones that I got work perfect and are a direct bolt-on. They're a bit more money, but worth it.

Another thing I would also highly recommend is SpeedBleeders for all your calipers. They make brake bleeding so much easier.
