AWD TO FWD conversion

Can an automatic 4g63 non turbo awd tranny be converted to fwd and how it can be done?

1) I may be wrong but I don't believe the non turbos came in AWD
2) Why would you want to convert from AWD to FWD
3) If it can be done it would be WAY cheaper to just sell the AWD and buy a FWD.

There isn't a such thing as a N/A AWD tranny.

Ok, didn't know that. But I bet those are fairly hard to find at this point in time.

You can't use a Non Turbo Tranny with 4g63t motor.
Buy a FWD tranny from a GST or TSI FWD with your swap

All awd transmissions can be fwd by welding the center diff.

I am unaware that there were ever any made. As far as I know if it isn't turbocharged it isn't an AWD.
