After i got the valves replaced in the head and fixed the timing system issue that threw my belt and drove a little bit on it to finish breaking in the engine it was time for a tune.
so i drove 100 miles to Pure Tuning, in Toledo, OH and got the car tuned by Keith - who knew his crap but didn't have sufficient enough time to really get to play with tuning the car let alone finish the tune do to the car miss firing..
But anyway he made a bunch of successful runs and unfortunately i only got the first ATTEMPT at a pull he was aiming for 18 psi but only got to 4600 RPM and had to kill it cause he seen the boost spike up past 24PSI. OMG
And since i never owned a Turbo car before had no clue you HAD to have a boost controller :ohdamn: so he installed a nice Hallman Pro MBC.
Sorry for the quality of this- i was video'ing to send it via the cell phone but here is that run that he had to kill early... unfortunately i couldn't get the good successful pulls at 19psi because my phone battery was low[/SIZE] :notgood:

97 GSX dyno pull early shut down 4600 RPM

but all in all i ended up with a successful tune at 19 PSI. She made 329WHP @ 5,500 RPM and 320 Ft-lbs of torque.
next time i'll be (most likeley) on meth or race gas, have an 8k rev limit and hoping for 500HP :hellyeah:
 
I think I remember seeing this car on craigslist some time back... He had all these stuff done to it and no boost controller? Weird! What turbo are you running? (I'm assuming a 16g based off the manifold) I didn't see that in the list.

I had Pure do some tuning to my car last year. He's a very easy going guy and easy to talk to.

Those aftermarket sidemarkers are not the best; they do tend to fall out. LOL!

you probably did! the guy had it for sale for almost a year, he bought it from the old owner of Speed Industry in Troy, MI. and right away it blew up so he had to rebuild.
yes there were a couple things messed up about this car when i bought it that weren't on it or just screwed up.

its a Precision SC61 trim.

yeah Keith is a good guy to work with. he just unfortunately didn't get a chance to get a full tune.

thanks.. its getting there, i had a car before this that i spent 2 years on almost every day going and changing/cleaning things up on it to just get a really smooth clean look to it. this car is a work in progress though for sure - it has one thing i hate the most though and thats a wiring harness clutter nightmare.
 
Haha that's the worst about buying one modded from someone else is some of the ghetto work that's done, but they had time to throw a bigger turbo on it. Mine didn't have conduit anywhere on it so it was a spiderweb nightmare. Nice ride man, good thing he caught the boost creep, didn't your gauge catch it on the way up there?
