2G 2.3 stroker flywheel install issue

2.3 stroker 7 bolt DSM 4g63, JE pistons, eagle rods, 2.4 crank, blah, blah, blah. Trying to mount my Fidanza flywheel and neither the ARP or the factory flywheel bolts engage enough to torque properly. Threads are good, been chased, but Im at a loss if its the bolt length or something is f'd with my crankshaft? I did some research and found the 6 bolt flywheel bolts are 1.1 mm longer and wasnt sure if I should go that route

I can't tell anything for sure without seeing the issue but generally speaking as assuming it's a Fidanza aluminum flywheel, the Fidanza flywheel flange is a bit thicker than OEM.
Are you using a flex plate adapter as a spacer to prevent damaging? If so, for sure you would need much longer flywheel bolt. It was popular to use ARP Toyota 3SGTE engine flywheel bolts for the Fidanza aluminum flywheel with a flex plate adapter. The 3SGTE bolts are about 4~5mm longer.

I dont have an OEM flywheel to compare to, I have a Fidanza and an act and both are exibiting the same issue. Some of the bolts will torque and 1-3 will not. I have chased all threads in the crank. I didn't know if bc i had a 2.4 crank in a 4g63 block, if there was a difference in the flywheel spacing.

This makes me think maybe those bolts or bolt holes are stripped.
You are not using a flex plate adapter or some sort of that between the bolts and flywheel flange, correct? Can you upload a pic?

It's the same as the 88mm stroke 2.0 crank.

no adapter, just the crank flange. I am leaning towards I got a bad crankshaft unless I need longer bolts
 
Take a photo of the flywheel bolts installed on the flywheel so we can see the protrusion length, as well as measure the protrusion length. Measure the actual thread depth of the crank flange, not just a total depth to the bottom of the hole. Confirm you are using 21.2mm flywheel bolts. Measure the flange thickness of the fidanza vs the ACT. The ACT is the same flange thickness as the OEM flywheel and should be using OEM length 7 bolt flywheel bolts.

Protrusion is roughly 1/4 inch. I've tried the ARP and factory bolts on the Fidanza, the ACT flywheel with both sets. I did tap/chase the holes on the crank bc the engine had been sitting a long time with nothing bolted to it. I went ahead and ordered the 3SGTE bolts from my Toyota dealer since apparently that had seemed to be a solution in the past

I am not sure if the Fidanza 6 bolt and 7 bolt flywheel have the same flange thickness or not, but assuming the thickness is the same, you may need to use a flex plate adapter from auto transmission car if you would go with Toyota 3S bolts (ARP 203-2801). Otherwise the 3sgte bolts would be too long and get bottomed. Then this would cause to have less clamping force and would snap all bolts while you are driving the car. This would cause a huge disaster, so you should make sure about that.

Looks like about 6mm of protruding threads based on a 1.25 pitch. If those are factory 7 bolt flywheel bolts, MD302074, they are 21.2mm long. So your flywheel is approximately 15mm thick. The 3SGTE bolts are 25.4mm long. Otherwise, OEM Mitsu does have a 29mm long option as well. Could you measure the thread engagement depth of the crank? If you dont have a dial caliper then do it the simple way, install a flywheel bolt into the crank and thread it until it bottoms out, then use a paint marker or sharpie and put a line at 12 o clock on it, then count the revolutions it takes until you can remove the bolt, then multiply by 1.25 to equal the thread depth in mm for the crank.
