Make a long story short, I have been having issues starting my car lately since replacing the engine. It has started once and never to start again. I have been checking the wires and the fuse, I just found a wire that is suppose to be connected and it is not.

I found that one of the wires that goes off the negative battery goes to the firewall. The other one I followed and it connects to nothing????? What is suppose to connect to? it is suppose to be something behind/underneath the intake manifold. Please Help

As has been posted several times before, there are two wires that normally attach to the negative terminal on a 1G. One goes to the firewall right behind the battery and the other goes to the bellhousing/block.

The intake manifold has a braded strap running from one of the throttle cable adjustment bolts to the firewall for grounding the intake.
