I've came to a conclusion of running a .075 restrictor and a -12 hose for oil drain for my Hx35 setup. My question is will the hole on the oil pan itself need to be bigger? I'll have the 19mm recommended drain coming out the turbo, but will the stock size hole on the 1g oil pan be big enough. I've searched forever but can't seem to find the info on the oil pan hole itself. I did find that the 2g oil drain line has a bigger I.D. than the 1g.

The hole size will be ok. Some may say it is too small but it is an issue I have never had a problem with. I wondered this at one time too but with that big of a line and the restrictor you won't have a problem with it backing up in the drain tube. If anything else consider stepping up to a -10AN drain.

I want to step up to a -12 on the pan, but if the stock pan hole is enough it will save me time and money/labor from not having to pull the pan.

If you have that large of a drain, why are you certain you'll even need a restrictor at all?

Because I get 100+ oil psi before redline. The restrictor wouldn't be a big concern to me if I had the -12 on the pan. I've seen people getting away with -10, but if I'm going to have to pull the pan, I might as well go -12 there. I don't want to run the -12 drain and it be pointless because of the small hole it was to go thru on the pan. I'm trying to set up a good drain without pulling the pan if possible because I have to pay for the job(I know it sucks and I should do it myself, but I can't). What are your thoughts?

Stock oil pan hole is about .580" (14.7mm). A lot of guys will say that -12 hose is .750" ID (and it is), and then they'll say something like "that means the entire -12 setup is .750" ID". Well, that's total BS 'cause the smallest internal diameter of various -12 hose ends & fittings is definitely smaller than .750". I'd say most would be around .600" to maybe .650". So compare that to .580" and you'll realize the oil pan hole represents a very small restriction. But, yes, it IS a restriction 'cause .580 is smaller than .600-.650 (or whatever the ID of your -12 fittings are).
