ECMlink 1g logging fuel pressure from O2 input

I need to log fuel pressure for some trouble shooting. I took an old O2 sensor and cut the pigtail off and made a jumper harness over to my fuel pressure sensor. I changed my settings in ECMlink to simulate front O2, and set my front O2 input to linear fuel pressure. My voltage parameters were were set at .5v at 0 Psi and 4.5 volts at 100 Psi. With it all hooked up and running I am seeing -12 Psi for fuel pressure. I have 44 Psi at my gauge. Has any one tried using the 02 input for this? I am think I either set it up wrong or I have a bad sensor. Thoughts ?

I’m going to ask a dumb question, are you giving your fuel pressure sensor 5 volts from the ecu?

Also a suggestion, if you have the EGR temp sensor unused, you can use that on a 1g. It has sensor ground and signal in a 2 pin plug taped to the firewall harness. You need to get +5vdc from the Maf connector though.
 
Look at what you are getting for the Raw Volts on that input. You can get a "RawFrO2Volts" item to display. See if the Raw Volts gives you the right pressure value when you look it up on the sensor volts to pressure chart.
You are using an AEM sensor?
Which one exactly?
Is it a PSIa or a PSIg type?
 
I will look at RawFrO2Volts. I do not know if its a PSIa or a PSIg sensor, its just a generic sensor.

With the key off and the sensor un-plugged should I see 5 vols or 0 volts on my reference wire ?

I ordered another sensor just in case. I will look into the EGR temp plug. I thought using the O2 would be quick and easy to swap over for testing.

Well, with the key off there shouldn't be any volts on any of those wires.

The sensor must have a chart of some kind that came with it. A regular sensor like an AEM will have that chart online so you can download it. It should be either a pdf file or some kind of picture file.
Right now we don't really know anything for sure about your sensor. I don't even know how many wires are coming out of it. A normal sensor like an AEM has 3 wires.
Did you get the gauge and sensor together as a kit? Sounds to me like not.

The easiest thing to do first is to open up a log that's already been made and go into Edit Displayed Values and add RawFrO2Volts to the values displayed. See what kind of numbers you get in there. But then you need the sensor chart to see what pressure that volt number is telling you.

For example, the AEM psig sensor for 0-100 psig is part number 30-2130-100 and the chart for it is this:

I will look at RawFrO2Volts tomorrow and see what it says.
Oops, sorry, I think you'll have to look at RawLinFuelPress to see the raw volts on the input now that you have it set up to do LinFuelPress instead of the O2.
It's just as well because now that I look at RawFrO2Volts it doesn't read volts, it reads a weird number that must be converted to volts.

Up above you said it is giving you a reading of -12 psi for fuel pressure. I think that's what it would give you if the O2 input pin was getting 0 volts. Or actually 0.02 volts is what fits the scaling that you have set up in Graph Item Preferences (per the example thread you linked to). So that would be the problem. Basically no signal to the ecu input pin.
