1g k@n filter with no air box

Ok, just got my 1g k&n filter for the 1g mas and the thing won't stay on very well. I got rid of the airbox. How do you guys hold the 1g k&n in with the crappy clip thingies that held in the stock filter?

well I got the conical k@n filter and I just took the stock clips and clipped them the way the stock filter was clipped.

Hmm, well I can't get the clips to "grab" the ends of the k&n filter. Also, how do you get the end of the dejon pipe, which is way to big for the 14b outlet to reduce and fit? Did you use their reducer plus the reducer from the stock pipe? Maybe they sent me the wrong pipe if this isn't how you get it to work..

I used a Dremal and cut the ring off the bottom of the air can. This way the clips have more to grab on to and I can get it off easily if I need to.

sorry I cut some of air can off too, I figured you already did that. I dont have a dejon pipe I made my hard pipe my self. But you should be able to get a reducer and get it to fit in there if you work with it enough sorry I cant help ya much with the intake problem.

I took the air can off too, I just ran a thin bead of rtv around the base of it and used the clips to hold it in as best as possible.

Hey, does anyone know where I can get a coupler for the dejon intake to connect the intake to the 14b turbo. Their connection with the 3 pieces won't stay on at all.

An electric drill and two wood screws seem to help the stock clips to hold it on... well enough, anyway. Though I'd like to get the bottom ring from a stock air can. Kinda kicking myself for throwing mine out.
