Air filter box?

Where are all these guys getting the boxes for their aftermarket intakes? Is there one on the market or are they all custom fabricating them? It seems like this would be a very high demand product as it keeps warm air away from the intake.

No company makes them for our 2g dsm. those guys you see with a custom box is cus the go thru the trouble of doing it themselves.

There actually used to be a shop(if you can even call it that)that used to make some but they were a total POS.

I've never seen a pre made DSM intake box. Got to make your own.

Yes it is worth it.

I've made them in as little as an afternoon. I'll actually be making one for my new intake (hopefully) within the next 2 weeks. Now that the weather is getting warmer, I'm noticing that my intake temps are much warmer.

Make a template out of cardboard first. It keeps you from wasting sheet metal.

if you can't do sheet metal you can use your cardboard templet and cover it with fiberglass

Thanks guys! Feel free to ninja it all you want! It was actually pretty easy to make, its just 4 pieces. If I ever take it off I'll measure out the pieces and take individual pictures and probably write a tech article to make it easier for you guys. I have NO plans to make more of them though, nice try Shawn!
