Bottom of air filter box

I just got an air intake and am installing it on my car. I got the tube and air filter out fine, but the bottom of the air filter box is giving me trouble. It is bolted down so tight nothing seems to work getting it off. I tried a screwdriver, plyers and drill, but the little shits wont budge. Anyone have any ideas or should I just leave the bottom of the box on there? I'd prefer to have it off for a cleaner look, but if I can't get it off I can't get it off. Thanks.

You're using pliers to attempt to remove bolts?

Go get one of those Craftsmen toolkits. Best money you will ever spend on a DSM :laugh:

Leverage is the name of the game. See if you have a 10mm socket for a fiendishly large ratchet with extension because odds are it won't fit in the space... The bolts should break free. If not, get some WD40 and spray them, let it sit for 15-20 mins. If that doesn't work, cut up or break the box and leave the bolts there.

The exposed underside of them is probably rusted, hose them down with PB Blaster and use a real socket on them, if there's enough left. Otherwise, you can just about twist off 10mm with your bare hands.
