I'm not sure I understand what you want to know.

Do you want to know WOT stock automatic trans programmed shift points?

Do you want to know the ECU's ignition cut or rev limiter value?

...Or do you want to know where to shift a manual to make best use of your particular setup?

Contrary to the belief of most 16 year old Honda owners, shifting at the highest possible rpm is not necessarily going to make the car run any faster at all. Shift points should be just above peak power rpm for best performance. Until properly tuned, the stock ignition and fuel programming on the vast majority of cars is completely nuetered above 5500rpm in order to avoid warranty claims and transmission/driveline damage. Shifting at high rpm will wear out a synchronized manual transmission fast.

In my N/T... I always found that the best pulling shift was between 3.5K-4K, but it'd alternate depending on if I was WOT or not. As these are not Turbo'd you're not getting on the throttle to wait for the boost to spool at 2.6kish. These things are producing their power from the get-go.

Too high RPM and you're simply wearing down the synchros, too low and you're not getting your power. I'd recommend 4K and then figure out how best you like it accordingly. There's no need to try to hit 5.5K+ shifts in a stock N/T. It won't do you any good other than to make you sound like an idiot with a super high rev.. especially if you miss your shift.

Any vehicle with a manual tranny has shift points where the torque range reaches a peak to work with the RPM's, then drops off while the RPM's continue to increase - which begins over 3kRPM to close to 5kRPM when it drops off.
