I jacked my car up to check and see iffy rotor was hung up, and I noticed the wheel was hanging down a little bit so I shook the wheel and the entire wheel and rotor moves all around with a huge amount of play! Is it Forsure my wheel bearing? either way I can't drive to the shootout now :( fml.. But if it is the wheel bearing what would I have to do to change it? I heard I will need to get it pressed?

Wheel bearing is easy to diagnose, if the wheel is tight and it's Moving, you're WAY overdue to replace it, normally they make a lot of noise as they start to wear, and the weirdest thing is, they normally sound like they are coming from the other side when they are still tight but worn enough to make the noise.. I learned this from a friends dad when i was about 22 replacing the front wheel bearing in my olg G/F's probe GT.. turned out i replaced the one that wasn't worn because no matter what side you sat in and drove it the sound seemed to come from the passenger side, but it was the driver side bearing// Must be it transmitting though the transaxle because i've witnessed this a few times since on other FWD vehicles including AWD eclipses.. but when it wobbles at the center point (and not just a ti rod end or ball joint area) then you've def got the bad one in your grasp LOL

Make sure the wobble is from the center and that it's not just the ball joint or tie rod end ball joiunt.. that's easiest to tell by putting your fingers where you are touching both halves of the joint and have some one else wiggle the wheel if you're unsure what it is

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...ow-replace-your-awd-front-wheel-bearings.html This is how one person did their AWD ABS front bearings. If you don't have ABS it's easier since there isn't a tone ring in the hub.

To further confirm a bad wheel bearing, jack up the suspected wheel, have someone hold the foot brakes, now try to wiggle the wheel. If it no longer rocks, it's the bearing, hub bearing assembly needs replaced.

After that you can check the ball joints. Keep holding the brakes, but this time grab a long stout prybar and stick it under the tire. Pull up on the tire and check for clunks, looseness etc.
