Hey folks, I finally got my 1G finished a few months then I realized I had some bad rear wheel bearings (grinding while driving and wheel slop with the car jacked in the air). It has taken me a few months but I completely rebuilt my rear end with rear-toe eliminator, new wheel bearings, poly-bushings, DSS aluminum driveshaft, new carrier bearing, 4-bolt rear-end. So I figured the car would be perfect.
Well, now I hear a thumbing/grinding going on again (slightly different sound than before). I can't find anything on the drivetrain touching anything else so I don't think it's something simple like hitting the exhaust. The wheels STILL HAVE SLOP! How the hell is there still movement on the wheel if I just replaced the wheel bearings????? Not sure what the hell is going on. One thing I can think of is one of my arms has an old speed sensor on it and the other doesn't (maybe old abs stuff?) It's weird that only one had the old sensor. But that same arm had an extra gear in the wheel bearing area (most likely an abs part). I removed the gear when I replaced the wheel bearing. Maybe this is causing an issue. Thanks for any input.
