Regina,
My driver side rear wheel bearing is worn out. I took it to a shop and they said it needs a whole new hub assembly, and all they did was drive it, they never even took anything apart or anything.

Anyway, a new hub assembly is 320 dollars Canadian, and another 150 bucks to install it, that is over a 500 dollar bill with taxes.

If anyone has changed a wheel bearing, please let me know if you changed the whole hub assemble or just the bearings or whatever. Any info on the subject would be of great help, thanks.

Yes, you can change just the wheel bearing, don't let you talk them into buying a whole hub assembly. Its kind of difficult if you have too small of a press. (or no press at all)

In my case, I did need a whole new hub assembly, because mine was bent  but it was STILL cheaper to get a hub assembly from MitsubishiGraveyard.com and buy the bearing from Advance Auto and do the labor myself.

In retrospect, I might have considered buying the whole hup assembly from Advance Auto. But even then, the labor is very easy in that case - and the whole assembly was only like $175 w/bearing.
