1g 7bolt in a 2g

I bought a 1g 7bolt thinking it should swap in directly.. I put the 1g 7bolt in the '95 eclipse and the bellhousing of the 2g tranny seems too large. i tried searching for this, but didn't come up with anything fruitful. i have a picture too if it would help.. any ideas on this? anywhere someone could link me to see what i should do?

The only question i have for you bro, is why? Any 1g to 2g swap that should be done is the 6bolt swap.

It will work. My brother has a 1g 7 bolt in his 1995 GST.

There usually is a shield between the tranny and engine block. Get one from a 2g and it should cover that up without a problem.

Yes, he is. His name is snowborder714. However, he bought the car with the 1g engine already swapped in it so he probably couldn't help you out here. But if you have a specific question we could probably look at his car to try and get you an answer. Sorry.
