1g 7bolt in a 2g

Ok so I bought a 1g 7bolt motor for cheap and I want to put it in my 2g cause the motor in it currently knocks. Now I need to know what is different and what I have to change in order to make it work. Like I have heard that the camshaft angle sensors (or crankshaft? not sure) are different? Other than that is it just a direct drop in? Thanks

All of the wiring will be the same as a 6-bolt swap. In fact, it all will be the same.

In other words what has to be changed then? I have the hall type cas on my 1g 7 bolt so I don't think I need to modify anything with that do I?

You need to search 6-bolt swap. The only thing you wount need is the 6-bolt flywheel.

So I defently need a 6 bolt flywheel? Why would I need a 6 bolt flywheel if it is a 1g 7 bolt motor and not a 1g 6bolt?

NO I said you don't need a 6-bolt flywheel! You will have to do some research on the hall type CAS and wiring it for the 6-bolt conversion harness if you buy one.

Oh ok I must have read it wrong then. But do I have to buy the 6 bolt wiring harness since I have the hall type CAS?

The 6-bolt swap harness is set up for the 90-91 CAS so you will have to do a conversion for the hall type. Or ask the vendor you are purchasing from if they make the conversion harness for the hall type. I am not familiar with the hall type but what I have been reading it is different, so I can not tell you what exactly is need to make it work.

I still am lost on what to do with the CAS. I read this and it doesn't really say what to do with it. Can someone explain what I have to do with that? Thanks

Alright so I guess I am going to need the RRE 6 bolt CAS wire harness then? I did some searching on vfaq.com and found that I either have to go that way or rewire it. Anyone go the rewiring route? How hard is it to do that? People that have done 6 bolt swaps can chime in with this too.
